Ford Ecosport Overview

The Ford EcoSport has a youthful air about it and there’s a sporty vibe to the cabin as well. It’s particularly nice to see how solidly everything feels put together. However, the rear seat is still very comfortable and provides good support to the body.

Ford Ecosport Engine & Gearbox

The biggest change is the all-new 1.5-litre Dragon engine. This is a three-cylinder engine that churns about 121bhp of power, 150Nm of torque and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. A regular automatic replaces the DCT unit. The diesel engine is unchanged.

The 1.5-litre Dragon petrol engine on the Ford Ecosport 2018 is a good new engine. This new engine is light weight as it has an aluminium block which is light in weight. The 1.5-litre diesel engine has 99bhp of power and 210Nm of maximum torque. This engine remains the same as earlier. Ford has now discontinued the 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine.The mileage of the petrol is about 12km/l and 11km/l, for the manual and auto respectively, in the city. On the highway it returns 16km/l and 17km/l. The diesel returns about 15km/l in the city and close to 18km/l on the highway. The diesel mileage remains similar.
